Giant 2027 TCR Advanced 2 KOM – Shimano 105

Product Overview

The legend, redefined. The 10th-generation TCR – lighter, stiffer, and faster than ever.

The 2027 TCR Advanced 2 KOM is the latest evolution of Giant's iconic Total Compact Road platform—the bike that revolutionised road racing geometry when it was first introduced in 1997. Now in its 10th generation, the TCR Advanced delivers the perfect balance of lightweight, superior stiffness, and smooth compliance that defines a true race-winning machine.

Built around a handcrafted Advanced-grade Composite frame produced in Giant's own carbon factory, this bike is lighter and stiffer than the previous generation thanks to Giant's exclusive cold-blade cutting technology, which reduces the number of carbon cloth pieces by approximately 10% and achieves a one-piece front triangle. With Shimano's proven 105 12-speed mechanical groupset, a climbing-focused 50/34T crankset paired with an 11-36T cassette, and tyre clearance up to 33mm, the TCR Advanced 2 KOM is the perfect package for riders who want podium-level performance without the podium-level price tag.

Key Performance Factors

⚡ Class-Leading Efficiency – Built for the Climb

  • High stiffness-to-weight ratio combined with strategically placed aero tube shaping results in faster climbing, explosive acceleration, and unyielding pedaling stiffness for race-winning performance

  • Power Core – integrated oversized bottom bracket design with an asymmetric rear triangle and a fully integrated 86mm press-fit bottom bracket, increasing drive-side stiffness and non-drive-side stability

  • Modified Monocoque Construction – front triangle assembled and molded as one continuous piece for optimal stiffness-to-weight

💨 Advanced Aerodynamics – The Most Quantifiable Gains

  • Every tube shape was analysed, engineered, and tested to create an overall structure with significantly lower drag at a wider range of yaw angles

  • This is where the TCR's most quantifiable gains can be found compared to previous generation models

  • Full internal cable routing – brake lines enter the frame through the head tube, delivering a clean aesthetic and improved aerodynamic efficiency

🎯 Total Control – Precise Handling, Confident Cornering

  • Composite fork delivers torsional stiffness for sharp handling and steering precision

  • Giant WheelSystem with tubeless technology allows you to run lower tire pressures for increased grip and reduced risk of punctures

  • OverDrive steerer – oversized head tube and fork steerer combination for optimal steering stiffness

🏔️ KOM Specification – Conquer Every Gradient

  • 50/34T compact crankset paired with an 11-36T wide-range cassette – a climbing-focused gear ratio that ensures you never run out of gears on the steepest gradients

  • Ideal for riders tackling long alpine passes, steep local climbs, or simply wanting a wider range for endurance riding
