Product Overview
Racing, deconstructed. Aerodynamics, weight, and stiffness engineered as one complete system.
The SEKA ExAero is the brand's new dedicated aero road frameset, taking over from the Exceed at the top of SEKA's road range while sitting alongside the all-rounder Spear. Rather than chasing a single performance metric, the ExAero optimises aerodynamics, weight, stiffness, handling, and compliance together—every dimension aligned toward one outcome: higher system efficiency.
Validated as a complete rider-bike system in the wind tunnel with AeroCoach at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, the ExAero delivers up to 11.63W in savings at 45 km/h versus its predecessor when running the full optimised setup. Available in two distinct layups—the Standard (935g) and the RDC "Racing Day Combatant" (820g)—the ExAero is built for riders who want aero speed without sacrificing the composure to use it after a hundred kilometres.
Key Features
🏆 Two Layups – Standard & RDC
💨 System Aero – More Frontal Area, Lower Drag
-
SEKA's total system frontal area (frame + fork + handlebar) is 4.13% larger than the Spear—yet overall CdA is lower.
-
Coordinated shaping across the head tube, fork crown, down tube, and handlebar assembly reorganises airflow through the front end rather than simply shrinking it.
-
3.68W saved with the standard Gladius cockpit (weighted CdA reduction of 0.00314 m²).
-
11.63W saved with the ALTA riser cockpit and MAG bottles (weighted CdA reduction of 0.00992 m²)—the peak race-trim advantage.
-
The MAG aero bottle system (sold separately) is credited with a further 0.0047 m² CdA reduction and around 5.49W versus conventional round bottles.
⚡ Stiffness – Measurable Gains Over the Spear
| Metric | Gain vs. Spear |
|---|---|
| Front-end stiffness | +21.2% |
| Rear-end stiffness | +7.6% |
| Overall torsional stiffness | 367 → 416 (+13.4%) |
🔧 True One-Piece Molding – No Bonded Joints
-
A single mold forms the complete frame, avoiding bonded joints between sections.
-
SEKA's stated reason is frame stability rather than weight—consistent with the 820g RDC figure being competitive rather than class-leading.
🚴 Gladius Integrated Cockpit – One Cockpit, Two Positions
The frameset includes SEKA's Gladius one-piece molded cockpit, offered in two versions that share the exact same reach:
| Cockpit | Weight | Stack | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gladius (375×100mm) | 320g | Standard | Core aero position |
| Gladius ALTA (375×100mm) | 335g | +25mm | Same reach—alternate path to the same riding position, often paired with a smaller, more aero frame size |
-
Available across 7 stem lengths (80–140mm) and handlebar widths 355/400mm, 375/420mm, and 395/440mm (hoods/drops).

What Riders Are Saying
"The ExAero optimises aero, weight, and stiffness together instead of chasing one number. Validated as a complete rider-bike system in the wind tunnel with AeroCoach, it saves up to 11.63W at 45 km/h versus its predecessor." — SEKA / Florian Bikes
"Most of the claimed gain arrives with the ALTA bar, which raises stack by 25 mm while keeping reach identical. That is a fit change, not free speed. If your current position already has you low and comfortable, the 25 mm of extra stack may not be a position you want, and the honest number for you is closer to the 3.68 watt figure." — Bikeroom
"The structural numbers are more straightforward than the aero ones, because they are direct comparisons against the same reference frame: Front-end stiffness up 21.2 percent, rear-end stiffness up 7.6 percent, overall torsional stiffness 367 to 416—a 13.4 percent increase." — Bikeroom
"The brand collaborated with Aerocoach for three phases of wind tunnel testing at Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, collecting 280,000 data points per configuration across realistic yaw angles (−20° to +20°). This level of testing rigor is rare among Chinese brands." — Cyclists Hub

Who It's For
The ExAero is for the rider who wants a dedicated aero road frameset—not an all-rounder—and is willing to accept a small weight penalty over a climbing frame in exchange for measurable drag reduction and front-end stiffness. It suits riders who:
-
Race crits, road races, or fast group rides where aero efficiency matters
-
Want a complete system—frame, fork, and cockpit—validated together in the wind tunnel
-
Appreciate the option of a standard or +25mm-stack cockpit to dial in position without changing frame size
-
Value true one-piece construction and UDH future-proofing
It is a less natural fit for riders prioritising absolute climbing weight (the Spear RDC is 135g lighter) or those who need clearance beyond 32mm.
Technical Notes
⚠️ Frameset Only: This listing is for the frame, fork, cockpit, seatpost, headset, and thru-axles only—groupset, wheels, saddle, and other components are not included
⚠️ Cockpit Included: The Gladius integrated cockpit is included by default. Select the standard Gladius or the ALTA riser (+25mm stack) at checkout—both share the same reach
⚠️ MAG Bottles Not Included: The 11.63W peak aero figure assumes the MAG aero bottle system, which is sold separately
⚠️ Aero Figures Context: The 3.68W and 11.63W claims are measured against the Spear, not the wider market, at 45 km/h
⚠️ Rider Weight Limit: Confirm the road ExAero weight limit with your dealer before ordering (the ExAero GR gravel model is rated to 120kg)
⚠️ Warranty: Contact your authorised SEKA dealer for warranty terms
About SEKA
SEKA is a Chinese performance bicycle brand that has rapidly built a reputation for rigorous engineering and wind-tunnel-validated design. The ExAero is the brand's second aero road platform, succeeding the Exceed and sitting alongside the all-rounder Spear. SEKA's development process for the ExAero covered the entire system—frame, fork, cockpit, and proprietary MAG bottles—tested together for airflow rather than in isolation, in collaboration with AeroCoach at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub. The brand's approach is summed up in its own words: "Racing Deconstructed"—optimising every dimension toward higher system efficiency rather than chasing a single number on a spec sheet.
