Product Overview
From Exceed to ExAero. The pure aero weapon for racing.
SEKA has officially launched the ExAero – a new aero road frameset that replaces the Exceed at the top of the brand's road range. The ExAero is not a replacement for the Spear; rather, it sits alongside it as a clearly differentiated platform: the Spear is the all‑rounder, the ExAero is the aero‑first frame.
Developed not around a single number, but from the complete rider‑bike system, the ExAero rebalances aerodynamics, structural efficiency, weight, and handling. The result is a frameset built for racing – where every watt, every gram, and every millimetre of stiffness matters.
Key Features
🏆 Class‑Leading Lightweight Aero Platform
-
820g ± 35g for the ExAero RDC frame (size 54, unpainted, excluding hardware)
-
Built using M46J and T1100 carbon fibre
-
True‑One‑Piece Moulding – a single mould forms the complete frame, eliminating bonded joints between sections for a more direct and complete load path
⚡ System‑Level Aerodynamics – Validated with AeroCoach
SEKA partnered with AeroCoach to complete three phases of wind tunnel validation – from the bare frame CFD, to the MAG aero bottle system, to the complete rider‑bike system.
| Configuration | Aero Saving at 45 km/h |
|---|---|
| ExAero + standard Gladius + dual MAG (vs Spear + aero cages + round bottles) | ~3.68W |
| ExAero + ALTA riser cockpit + MAG (vs Spear, same Stack/Reach) | ~11.63W |
| Dual ExAero MAG system (vs dual 74mm round bottles) | ~5.49W |
Wider ≠ Slower: The ExAero's frontal area is approximately 4.13% larger than the Spear, yet the complete system's CdA is still lower. Rather than simply narrowing tube shapes, SEKA reorganised the front‑end airflow through the coordinated shaping of the head tube, fork crown, down tube, and handlebar assembly.
🚀 Stiffness – Comprehensive Gains Over Spear
| Metric | Improvement |
|---|---|
| Front‑end lateral stiffness | +21.2% |
| Rear‑end lateral stiffness | +7.6% |
| Overall torsional stiffness | +13.4% (367 → 416) |
🎯 Gladius Integrated Cockpit – Two Options
ExAero offers two Gladius one‑piece handlebar options, both manufactured using full‑one‑piece moulding:
| Gladius Standard | Gladius ALTA (Riser) | |
|---|---|---|
| Reach | Same | Same |
| Stack | Baseline | +25mm |
The ALTA is not a higher/lower tier – it is an alternative path to achieving your target riding position. With ALTA, some riders can choose a smaller frame size while maintaining essentially the same contact points and target riding position – further reducing the frontal profile.
🛠️ WindEye & UDH Compatibility
-
WindEye structure – optimised for lateral support during pedalling while retaining controlled vertical compliance for road feel
-
UDH standard – simplifies derailleur hanger replacement and provides installation compatibility for UDH‑compatible drivetrains

| SEKA ExAero RDC | Spear RDC | |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | Aero‑First | All‑Rounder |
| Frame Weight | 820g | 685g |

| Aero Gain | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Up to 11.63W | Baseline |
Technical Notes
⚠️ Aero Data Interpretation: The primary aero gain (11.63W) comes from the ALTA riser bar. The +25mm Stack represents a change in riding position rather than purely "free speed". If your current position is already low and comfortable, the more realistic figure is the 3.68W gain.
⚠️ MAG Bottle System: Sold separately – the aero bottle system is credited with ~5.49W savings versus conventional round bottles.
⚠️ Limited Edition: The RDC Titanium Silver is limited to 200 units globally – first come, first served.
⚠️ Delivery: Shipping begins December 1, 2026.
